In the morning, you will be picked up by our professional driver-guide from your hotel or residence in Kampala or Entebbe and transferred to the boat.
1 Day Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary Tour
Early in the morning, you will be picked up by our professional driver-guide from your hotel or residence in Kampala or Entebbe and transferred to the boat departure point on the shores of Lake Victoria.
You will then begin your boat cruise to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary using either a speed boat (approximately 45 minutes) or an engine boat (approximately 90 minutes).
During the journey across Lake Victoria, you will pass the Equator line in the water, where the guide will point out the exact spot where the Northern and Southern Hemispheres meet. This provides a unique photo opportunity and an interesting experience while cruising on Africa’s largest lake.
Upon arrival at Ngamba Island, you will enjoy a guided tour of the sanctuary and observe the rescued chimpanzees during feeding time while learning about chimpanzee conservation and rehabilitation efforts.
Depending on the package selected, lunch and refreshments may be provided on the island.
Later in the afternoon, you will return by boat and transfer back to Kampala or Entebbe.
