Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Begin your journey from Kampala or Entebbe, traveling through scenic countryside dotted with rolling hills, tea plantations, and rural homesteads. Expect a stop at the Equator for photos and a chance to stand in both hemispheres at once.

Arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park in the afternoon, a diverse savannah reserve known for its stunning landscapes and rich biodiversity. Enjoy an evening game drive where you may encounter elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and possibly lions as they begin their nightly activity.

Day 2: Game Drives & Kazinga Channel Boat Safari

Start the day with an early morning game drive across the Kasenyi plains, a prime wildlife-viewing area. Look out for lions, leopards, Uganda kobs, and large herds of elephants grazing in the golden savannah.

In the afternoon, take a boat safari along the famous Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lake Edward and Lake George. This cruise offers one of the highest concentrations of hippos in Africa, along with crocodiles and numerous bird species along the shoreline.

Optional evening relaxation or short game drive.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking & Transfer to Lake Mburo

After an early breakfast, head to Kyambura Gorge, often called the “Valley of Apes,” for an exciting chimpanzee tracking experience. Trek through the lush forested gorge in search of habituated chimpanzees, while also spotting other primates and birdlife.

After the trek, transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest savannah park but rich in unique wildlife. The journey offers scenic views and cultural landscapes.

Day 4: Walking Safari & Return

Enjoy a guided morning walking safari in Lake Mburo, a rare opportunity in Uganda’s national parks. Accompanied by a ranger, walk through the savannah and encounter wildlife such as zebras, giraffes, impalas, and elands up close.

Lake Mburo is especially known for its large populations of zebras and is one of the few places in Uganda where you can see them alongside giraffes.

After the walk, begin your return journey to Kampala or Entebbe, marking the end of a memorable wildlife and primate safari.
