Embark on a 6-day safari from Kampala and explore Uganda's diverse landscapes. Track chimpanzees and gorillas, cruise the Kazinga Channel, and spot tree-climbing lions in Queen Elizabeth Park.
Day 1: Drive to the Primate Capital (Kibale Forest)
Begin your adventure with an early morning departure from Kampala or Entebbe. Drive west through beautiful green countryside and tea plantations (approx. 5–6 hours).
Arrive in Fort Portal for lunch. Take a scenic drive to the lodge, or explore the breathtaking Ndali-Kasenda crater lakes region. Overnight in Kibale Forest or Fort Portal.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking & The Rwenzori Backdrop
In the morning, go chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest. Get up close with our closest relatives and encounter other primates like the Red Colobus and L'Hoest's monkeys.
In the afternoon, drive south toward Kasese (approx. 2 hours), keeping an eye on the majestic Rwenzori ridges ahead. Relax at the base of the mountains, and get briefed for the next morning's mountain trek. Overnight in Kasese or Nyakalengijja foothills.
Day 3: Rwenzori Foothills Hike & Queen Elizabeth Boat Cruise
Embark on a spectacular day-hike on the lower slopes of the Rwenzori Mountains (Mubuku Valley or nature trails). Experience the rushing glacial rivers, unique montane flora, and clear views of the peaks.
In the afternoon, descend and drive just 1 hour to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Head straight to the Mweya peninsula for a world-class 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel to see hundreds of hippos, elephants, buffaloes, and Nile crocodiles up close. Overnight in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Day 4: Savannah Game Drive & Ishasha Tree-Climbing Lions
In the morning, enjoy a sunrise game drive along the Kasenyi plains to spot lions, leopards, Uganda kobs, and elephants. In the afternoon, journey south through the Ishasha Sector, famous for its rare tree-climbing lions.
Continue the drive into the cool, misty heights of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Overnight in Bwindi (Buhoma or Ruhija).
Day 5: The Bucket-List Mountain Gorilla Trek
Begin with an early briefing at the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) station. Enter the ancient rainforest for the unforgettable Mountain Gorilla trekking experience, spending an hour with a habituated family.
Return to the lodge for a well-deserved rest. In the evening, enjoy an optional Batwa cultural experience or a guided community walk to support local craft shops. Overnight in Bwindi.
Day 6: Bwindi to Kampala/Entebbe
