Descrição

For anyone curious about the story behind The Hague: discover the history of the iconic ánd forgotten spots of the ‘Court city’, visit the highlights and learn the bigger context behind them.
As a Dutch history enthusiast, I would love to take you on a travel through time, chronologically! We start in the twelfth century (at the spot where back then merely a tiny village stood); we wind our way through the centuries, past castle moats and market squaresl; and via Royal locations and scars of World War II, we end up in the diverse city of The Hague of 2026.

A tour for those who want to know the bigger story behind the events that shaped The Hague. Not with dates or dry facts, but with context: as an enthusiast I will reveal (inter)national trends behind what you see and explain why a building, statue, or plaque can tell so much about the Dutch.

Destaques

  • The bigger story behind the Hague, by a local history enthusiast
  • A tour in chronological order! Visit all highlights, from 'Golden Age' to 2026
  • Information AI won't give you :)
