Begin your journey with a hotel pickup in Cusco and a scenic drive toward Pitumarca, the gateway to the Ausangate mountain range. Along the way, observe traditional Andean villages, highland farming landscapes, and expansive valleys framed by snow-capped peaks.

Upon arrival, enjoy a nutritious Andean buffet breakfast with vegetarian options before preparing for the adventure. A professional bilingual guide will provide a comprehensive safety briefing and ATV handling instructions to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience.

Ride your individual ATV for approximately two hours across high-altitude trails surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery. As you navigate through open plains and rugged paths, you may encounter llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas grazing freely in their natural habitat. With every kilometer, the imposing Ausangate glacier becomes more dominant on the horizon.

After the ATV portion, leave the vehicles behind and begin a moderate 40–50 minute hike toward the glacier viewpoints and striking turquoise lakes formed by glacial meltwater. For those who prefer additional support, horses are available locally (optional). From the panoramic vantage points, take time to appreciate the scale and silence of this sacred Andean landscape.

Following ample time for photography and exploration, return by ATV to the base point where a traditional Andean buffet lunch awaits. After lunch, relax during the return drive to Cusco, arriving approximately between 4:30 and 5:00 p.m., depending on weather and road conditions.

To differentiate this experience from other ATV tours, this program includes a Sunrise Mountain Reflection Moment near the glacier viewpoints. Guided by your local expert, you will participate in a brief interpretative explanation about the Andean concept of the “Apu” (sacred mountain spirit), followed by a quiet moment to connect with the landscape.

Additionally, small-group departures (maximum 8 participants) include complimentary shared drone footage capturing the ATV route and glacier landscape, professionally edited and delivered digitally after the tour. This creates a unique visual record of your high-altitude adventure.
