Morning – Highlands & Glencoe
Travel west from Edinburgh through the Trossachs and towards the Highlands. Continue across the dramatic landscapes of Rannoch Moor before reaching Glencoe, one of Scotland’s most famous Highland valleys. Enjoy scenic stops and photo opportunities along the way.
Glenfinnan Viaduct
Continue to Glenfinnan, where you’ll have time to walk to the viewpoint overlooking the famous railway viaduct, recognised around the world for its appearance in the Harry Potter films.
You can also see Loch Shiel and the Glenfinnan Monument while exploring this beautiful Highland setting.
Depending on the day and the operating timetable, you may have the opportunity to see the famous Jacobite Steam Train crossing Glenfinnan Viaduct. Train sightings cannot be guaranteed, as the schedule can vary. Please note: the Jacobite Steam train runs on a seasonal basis, please check with the train operator for service updates. Train sightings are not guaranteed.
Please note: this tour does not include a ride on the Jacobite Steam Train or train tickets. The experience is focused on visiting Glenfinnan and viewing the viaduct and surrounding scenery.
Fort William & Lochaber
Continue through Lochaber towards Fort William, with impressive Highland scenery and views towards Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest mountain, weather permitting. Enjoy time for a break before beginning the return journey.
Return to Edinburgh
Travel back through Highland Perthshire, enjoying further scenic views and opportunities for a short refreshment stop before continuing south towards Edinburgh.
