Bern: Tour preAlps-World Champion Cheese Factory, great view

Discover the pre-Alps on a guided tour from Bern. Visit a cheese factory, explore a monastery, and enjoy Swiss Raclette and pastries.
Your half day experience starts in the city of Bern. There you will meet a Swiss couple that loves to show you some hidden places in the pre Alps and tell you more about the Swiss culture, some interesting Swiss behaviors and why you shouldn't be late for a meeting :-)
So hop into the van with a maximum of 7 people and head to the pre-Alps. Drive through a gorgeous landscape of green pastures and small villages, all the time facing the Alps.

Make your first stop at an old farmhouse dating back to 1760. Learn about farming in the 18th century before continuing to a mountain cheese factory. This cheese factory has won the World Championship in cheese making.

Meet the WORLD CHAMPION cheesemaker personally. He will take you on a guided tour through his factory. Learn about the complex process of making the best cheese. While you try the WOLD BEST CHEESE you have the opportunity to ask about his secret, but don't expect the full answer ;-)
After a short drive you will visit a 1,000-year-old monastery. Find out more about the lives of the monks and the challenges that this monastery faced over the centuries.

Then it is time for a break!
So you stop at a wooden cottage with a great view of the Alps. Light a fire and taste some original Swiss raclette with a glass of Swiss white wine. After this time of eating and fellowship, continue to an original Swiss bakery. Buy some specialties of Swiss pastry and drive to the turquoise river Aare.

While you can but your feet into the cold river you can enjoy pastry. Meanwhile the coffee is boiling on the Bialetti.
It's already time to head back to Bern. After this great memories with great people we definitely need a group picture!
