This unforgettable day trip with Kilimanjaro Winners and Safaris gives you the opportunity to explore the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” The crater, the largest unbroken caldera on Earth, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site teeming with incredible wildlife including the rare Black Rhino.
After a scenic drive from Moshi or Arusha (approximately 275 km), you’ll arrive at the Ngorongoro Gate and descend into the crater for an exciting six-hour game drive. Along the way, you’ll witness herds of elephants, zebras, wildebeests, buffalos, and impalas, as well as lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and other fascinating predators.
Midday, you’ll stop for a picnic lunch at the Ngoitokok Swamp, a serene hippo pool surrounded by stunning landscapes the perfect spot to relax and capture photos of this breathtaking natural wonder.
