Diving in Santa Maria is an adventure that will allow you to discover the beauty of the underwater world. The island of Sal is home to many pristine reefs, rich in marine life, including Mediterranean and tropical fish. You can also admire native species such as sea slugs, rays and bull sharks if you're lucky. This region of the Atlantic Ocean is also home to many turtles, all year round!

In this small group activity with a maximum of 4 participants, everything is organised to make your life easier. A transfer is provided between your accommodation and the diving centre. On site, you'll meet the centre's friendly instructors and complete the administrative formalities. Next, a theory lesson will introduce you to some of the basics you need to know before getting into the water. You'll test the equipment, then take your first dip in the pool. Of course, an instructor will be with you throughout your dive to guarantee your safety and guide you.

After this first stage, the instructors will take you out to sea and you will board a boat that will take you to your dive site near Santa Maria. This first discovery of scuba diving will take place in shallow waters with your instructor (minimum 7 to maximum 12 meters), the aim being above all to familiarise you with the unique sensations of diving and to show you the beauty of the Atlantic underwater world.
