Option 1: Romance of Guilin Show

Experience the Romance of Guilin, a grand indoor song and dance performance created by Songcheng Performance. With a total duration of 60 minutes, it vividly unfolds 30,000 years of Guilin’s history, folk culture, and local legends through holographic projection, a giant water curtain, aerial wire stunts, and flood special effects on a 3D water-land-air stage.

The show consists of 5 chapters:

1. Call from Ancient Times: Depicts prehistoric primitive civilization along the Li River dating back tens of thousands of years.
2. Ode to the Land: Presents festive dances and lifestyles of Zhuang, Yao, Miao, Dong, and other ethnic minorities in Guangxi.
3. Tale of Guilin Rice Noodles: A touching story about the origin of iconic Guilin rice noodles during the construction of Lingqu Canal in the Qin Dynasty.
4. Prince Jingjiang Mansion: Restores the prosperity of Guilin as an important frontier town in the Ming Dynasty with gorgeous palace scenes and acrobatics.
5. Search for Liu Sanjie: The classic legend of the folk song fairy Liu Sanjie, with stunning aerial performance and poetic mountain-light visuals.

Option 2: Impression Sanjie Liu Show

Our driver will pick you up from Guilin downtown or Yangshuo hotel, then take you to the Liu Sanjie Scenic Area. The driver will drop you back to your hotel after the performance ends.

Experience the world’s first large outdoor mountain-water live show, Impression Liu Sanjie, co-directed by famous Chinese director Zhang Yimou. Launched in 2004, this show takes place on the Li River in Yangshuo, with a natural stage covering a 2-kilometer-wide river surface and 12 karst peaks as a giant natural backdrop.

Watch over 600 local fishermen and villagers perform authentic ethnic folk songs and dances of the Zhuang, Yao, Miao, and Dong minorities. The 70-minute performance is divided into 5 color-themed chapters, featuring fishing lights, bamboo rafts, torch folk duets, and moonlit romance.

Enjoy the unique setting, with no indoor stage setups. Instead, the mountains, river, mist, and night sky all become part of the show, creating a poetic visual feast you can only experience in Yangshuo.

Before the show, explore the scenic park, which includes the Dong drum tower, a riverside bamboo promenade, and a folk culture street.
