Xichong Beach is located in the Xichong Community of Nan'ao in the Dapeng Peninsula, boasting a 10-kilometer coastline and the finest natural sandy shores in Shenzhen.
Xichong Beach, hailed as the starting point of one of China's Eight Most Beautiful Coastlines, features a sprawling approximately 10-li-long (5 km) silver-white sandy shore and natural attractions such as Lover’s Island. The scenic area offers various team-building activities, beach sports, and family-friendly programs (for fee details, please inquire at the site).
In April 2023, it became China's first International Dark Sky Community certified by the International Dark-Sky Association, serving as an ideal site for stargazing and a habitat for fireflies. During statutory holidays and weekend evenings, the "Dark Sky Community" lights-out ceremony is held on the beach, creating a completely dark environment. This initiative establishes the area as a premier destination for stargazing and moon-viewing in the Greater Bay Area.
