Depart and finish your journey either from Alice Springs or Yulara, exploring the heart of Australia’s Red Centre over 3 unforgettable days.
Day 1: Kata Tjuta | Uluru Sunset
If you’re departing from Alice Springs, you’ll be picked up at 6am for a scenic 4.5-hour drive to Yulara, with an early lunch along the way. If you’re departing from Yulara or Uluru Airport, pick-up is between 1:40–2:00pm.
After a short drive, you’ll arrive at Kata Tjuta, where its 36 domes create a striking contrast to Uluru. You’ll explore the landscape on a guided afternoon hike between the domes and learn about its cultural significance.
As the day ends, enjoy a light snack while watching the sunset over Uluru as the rock glows in changing desert colours. You’ll then return to camp for a shared dinner and a relaxed evening under the stars.
Day 2: Uluru | Kings Canyon
Your day starts early with a sunrise over Uluru, one of the most unforgettable moments in the Red Centre.
Your guide will take you to a significant cultural site where you’ll learn about Anangu rock art and creation stories. You’ll then complete the full Uluru Base Walk at your own pace, experiencing the scale and presence of this sacred landmark.
After lunch, you’ll visit the Cultural Centre to explore artworks and stories from First Nations people of the Western and Central Deserts.
In the afternoon, you’ll travel to your exclusive campsite near Watarrka National Park, where you’ll enjoy dinner and a night under the desert sky.
Day 3: Kings Canyon | Uluru
Today you’ll explore the spectacular Kings Canyon, a massive gorge surrounded by towering sandstone walls.
On your guided Kings Canyon Rim Walk, you’ll discover highlights such as the Lost City, the Garden of Eden, the Amphitheatre, and breathtaking views from the canyon rim.
After lunch, you’ll begin the journey back towards Yulara, arriving in the late afternoon. If you’re continuing to Alice Springs, you’ll arrive around 6pm.
If you’re on the 3-night option, you’ll have the evening free in Yulara with optional activities available such as Field of Light, camel sunset tours, or the drone show (at own expense), or you can simply enjoy one last Uluru sunset before dinner.
Day 4: Yulara | Uluru / Ayers Rock Airport
After a relaxed morning and breakfast at camp, you’ll take a complimentary transfer to Yulara accommodation or Uluru (Ayers Rock) Airport depending on your departure time.
If you have extra time, you can leave your luggage at Desert Gardens Hotel and enjoy Yulara at your own pace before your flight. Free shuttle transfers are also available between the hotel and the airport.

If you are departing from Yulara, you will be picked up between 1:40-2 pm (your flight must arrive before 1:45 pm) - Be ready with walking shoes. Lunch is not included for Yulara departures.

A strict luggage limit of 15 kilograms applies. Please limit to one small to medium-sized soft bag or backpack and a small daypack, which can be carried inside the vehicle
Bring sturdy walking shoes, hat and sunscreen, toiletries, warm clothing in winter, water bottle (3 Liters), a torch, insect repellent/net, and a power bank for charging your phone (limited power available at camp).
