Uyuni Round Trip: 3D/2N Guided Tour of the Salar de Uyuni and Photography

This 4WD expedition, available year-round, departs directly from any point in Uyuni and maintains an intimate atmosphere, with a maximum of six passengers per vehicle.
Day 1 - From Uyuni
At 10:30 a.m., we'll leave Uyuni for the world's largest salt desert. Our tour begins with a visit to the Train Cemetery, which hosts old locomotives from the late 19th century, followed by a stop in the village of Colchani to see the handicrafts and the salt processing museum. We'll then head into the salt flats to see the salt pinnacles (visible during the dry season), the Dakar landmark, and the Hotel de Sal Playa Blanca, the first salt hotel built in the desert and a place famous for its collection of flags. After lunch at 1:00 p.m., we'll explore Incahuasi Island to admire its giant cacti and enjoy a 360-degree view of the salt desert, as well as have a creative photo shoot playing with perspective. Finally, around 6:30 p.m., we'll arrive at the small town of San Juan, where dinner and basic accommodation will be provided at a salt hostel.

Day 2 - Uyuni Salt Flats
At 8:00 a.m., after breakfast, we will depart for Laguna Colorada. Along the way, we'll visit the Chiguana Salt Flat, the Ollagüe Volcano vantage point, Laguna Cañapa, and Laguna Hedionda. After lunch at 1:00 p.m., we'll continue exploring the picturesque Laguna Honda, the vast Siloli Desert, and the famous rock formation known as the Stone Tree. Our last major stop will be the stunning Laguna Colorada, before arriving at around 6:30 p.m. in Huallajara, where dinner and basic accommodation in a hostel will be provided.

Day 3 - Uyuni
At 5:00 a.m., early in the morning, we will depart for the Green Lagoon. The day begins with a visit to the Sol de Mañana geysers, an impressive volcanic site located 4,950 meters above sea level, followed by a relaxing stop at the Chalviri hot springs. After breakfast at 7:30 a.m., we'll explore the unique rock formations of the Dali Desert, as well as the vantage points of the Laguna Verde and the Licancabur Volcano. We'll then start the journey back to Uyuni city, making stops at the Laguna Capina vantage point and for lunch at Mallku Villa Mar, as well as exploring the wetlands (bofedales) of Villa Alota and the mining town of San Cristóbal, with its historic colonial stone church. The final arrival in the city of Uyuni is scheduled for approximately 6:30 p.m.

The comprehensive program includes a Spanish-speaking driver-guide dedicated to the group, basic accommodation in a salt hotel, and all meals (three lunches, two dinners, and two breakfasts).

Please note that national park entrance fees — such as 30 Bs for Incahuasi Island and 150 Bs for Laguna Colorada — as well as the use of restrooms, water for personal consumption, snacks, and gratuities are not included in the base price.
