Discover the ruins of Paricatuba, admire views of the Rio Negro, learn about the history of the former Hotel dos Italianos, and finish by savoring the best açaí in the Amazon in the municipality of Iranduba.
We pick you up and drop you off at your hotel in Manaus at 8:00 AM.
We'll take a 1-hour drive along the Manoel Urbano road to the village of Paricatuba.
We'll visit the ruins of the former Italian Hotel, which was used as a leper colony in Amazonas for many years.
We'll visit the village waterfront, where you can see the Rio Negro. If you like, you can bring your swimsuit and cool off at the river beach located in front of the village (the beach is only available from September to mid-February, when the river levels are low, creating beautiful beaches along the Rio Negro).
After the visit, we'll head to a place that specializes in producing regional açaí, and you'll have the unique experience of tasting the original açaí from the Amazon, with no added ingredients of any kind.
After the activity, we will return to Manaus and you will be dropped off back at your hotel or address. The tour will end at around 1:00 PM.
