Your personal driver and guide will pick you up at 8:30 AM, or at any time you prefer. We can meet you at your hotel lobby or any other arranged location.
Just tell us your hotel name, and we offer free pickup anywhere within 20 kilometers of downtown Guilin.
Our first stop is Huangluo Longhair Village. Here you can experience the daily life of the Yao ethnic people, see traditional wooden stilt houses, enjoy the Jinjiang River scenery and browse small local souvenir shops.
Next, you’ll watch a traditional Yao cultural performance. You’ll learn the special story behind why Yao women have such shiny, dark and beautiful long hair. The show also features traditional wedding ceremonies, the clothes-hanging festival and rice harvest celebrations. It’s a wonderful chance to dive into authentic Yao culture.
After the performance, we’ll have lunch in either Yao Village or Pingan Village. You’ll taste genuine local specialties. Bamboo chicken and bamboo rice are the must-try dishes here.
Then we’ll drive to Pingan Village and take a golf cart up to the viewing top. You’ll enjoy a stunning full view of the Longji Rice Terraces — locally named Nine Dragons and Five Tigers. Looking into the distance, you can see layered mountains, quiet villages and winding rice fields, presenting a perfect harmony between humans and nature.
We’ll walk down the stone steps to No.2 Viewing Platform. Along the way, you’ll pass rice terraces, bamboo forests, small tea plantations and local tea houses. At No.2 Viewing Platform, you can see the famous landscape called Seven Stars with the Moon.
After sightseeing, we’ll walk down through Pingan Zhuang Village back to the parking lot.
At the end of your wonderful Longji Rice Terraces day tour, we’ll drive you back to your hotel in Guilin. The ride takes around 2 hours, so you can relax and take a nap on the way. We’ll arrive back at your Guilin hotel at about 6:00 PM.
