Experience the Li River from both water level and high above the mountains on this private day tour from Guilin to Yangshuo, combining a bamboo raft journey, historic Xingping, panoramic views from Xianggong Hill and the rural scenery of Fuli Bridge and the Ten-Mile Gallery.

Rather than spending the day simply moving between sightseeing stops, this private experience follows the Li River from different perspectives. Float between karst peaks in the morning, explore an old riverside town, then climb above the river for a completely different view of the landscape.

Begin your day with pickup from your hotel in the designated Guilin city area between approximately 8:00 and 8:30 AM.

Travel to the Li River and board a bamboo raft for the Yangdi to Nine Horse Fresco Hill section. Sit back as the raft travels between limestone mountains and quiet riverbanks, bringing you closer to the scenery that has made the Li River one of Guilin's most recognizable landscapes.

Along the way, see Nine Horse Fresco Hill before arriving at the end of the rafting section. Continue by scenic-area shuttle to Xingping Ancient Town.

Stop at the famous viewpoint associated with the landscape on China's ¥20 banknote, then enjoy time to explore the historic streets and riverside atmosphere of Xingping.

Around midday, enjoy lunch at your own expense. Your guide or driver can recommend local Yangshuo specialties such as beer fish, Lipu taro with pork or stuffed river snails according to your preferences.

After lunch, travel to Xianggong Hill. Climb to the elevated viewpoint and look down over a sweeping bend of the Li River surrounded by layers of limestone peaks. After seeing the river from a bamboo raft in the morning, this viewpoint reveals the same landscape from a dramatic new perspective.

Continue to Fuli Bridge, a historic stone bridge with more than 600 years of history. Take time for photos and enjoy the quieter countryside setting before continuing through Yangshuo's Ten-Mile Gallery by private vehicle, with opportunities to stop for photos along the way.

At the end of the day, relax on the return journey to your hotel in Yangshuo or within the designated Guilin city area.
