Go from Sarajevo to Zagreb by private car or van, with stops at Vranduk fortress, Doboj fortress and the old center of Banja Luka on the way.
Travel from Sarajevo to Zagreb in a private car or van and see the north of Bosnia on the way. Your driver picks you up at your hotel and follows the Bosna River valley north to Vranduk, a small medieval fortress on a rock above the river, where you can walk up to the walls.
The next stop is Doboj, with its fortress overlooking the town and the valley. Then you continue to Banja Luka, the second-largest city in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Take an hour for a coffee and a walk around the Kastel fortress on the Vrbas River and the rebuilt Ferhadija Mosque.
After the border at Gradiška you take the motorway to Zagreb, where you are dropped at your hotel. The route is about 404 km: around 6 hours of driving plus about 2 hours at the stops.
