Learn how to plan and prepare for an overnight trip in coastal environments and near shore lakes on this kayak camping class. Be introduced to proper equipment and how it is used, how to select a camp location, prepare food, leave no trace, how to load a kayak, how to paddle, and much more.
Start with several hours of land-based outdoor classroom training, followed by a 3 to 4-mile one-way paddle to an overnight primitive campsite to continue learning, cook, and test your knowledge. Enjoy an all hands-on deck, "challenged by choice" philosophy.
Learn how to plan and prepare for an overnight trip in coastal environments and near shore lakes. Be introduced to proper equipment and how it is used, how to select a camp location, prepare food, leave no trace, how to load a kayak, how to paddle, and much more.
By the end of this class, become a more confident and skillful kayaker and camper. Principles and skills learned in this class are transferable to backpacking, mountaineering, bike touring, and other outdoor travel/primitive adventure circumstances.

VIKTIG INFORMATION
Duration: Noon to Noon.
Paddling Time: 2 - 3 hours each day.
Paddling Distance: 4 – 8 miles roundtrip.
