Day 1: Jinka – Mago National Park – Turmi
Begin with airport pickup in Jinka, the gateway to Ethiopia’s legendary Omo Valley. Meet your guide and drive to Mago National Park, home of the iconic Mursi tribe. Explore a traditional Mursi village and discover their unique customs, body decorations, and cultural identity. Continue through the rugged Omo landscapes to Turmi, a vibrant cultural hub. Visit the Hamer tribe, renowned for elaborate hairstyles, ochre body paint, and rich ceremonial traditions.

Day 2: Turmi – Gnangatom – Karo – Turmi
After breakfast, journey to the Gnangatom (Bume) tribe, known for beadwork, scarification, and strong cultural identity. Next, visit the Karo tribe, celebrated for intricate body painting, facial decorations, and riverside villages along the Omo River. Engage with locals, learn about their daily life, and capture memorable photographs. Return to Turmi for relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 3: Turmi – Key Afer Market – Konso
Depart Turmi northward toward Konso, stopping at the lively Key Afer market (market days permitting), where diverse tribal groups trade goods. Continue to Konso, a UNESCO-recognized cultural region famed for terraced hills, traditional villages, and centuries-old social traditions. Immerse yourself in the unique highland atmosphere upon arrival.

Day 4: Konso – Borena Region – Yabelo
After breakfast, travel deeper into the Borena Zone, a remote area rich in culture and pastoral traditions. Enjoy scenic landscapes, acacia-studded plains, and rural life en route to Yabelo, home of the Borena Oromo people. Experience the rhythms of local life and prepare for a nature-surrounded overnight stay.

Day 5: Yabelo – Borena Village – Yabelo Airport / Addis Ababa
On the final day, visit a Borena tribal village to learn about their social structure, livestock-based lifestyle, and community values. Conclude your journey with a transfer to Yabelo Airport for your flight to Addis Ababa, ending your unforgettable Southern Ethiopia tribal expedition.
