Known as the Venice of Brie, Crécy-la-Chapelle is a stunning medieval town of picturesque canals, half-timbered houses and rich historical heritage dating back over 2900 years.
Paddle through the heart of the Seine-et-Marne countryside along calm waters surrounded by lush green riverbanks, towering trees and an extraordinary variety of bird species. This route follows the same valley that inspired legendary Impressionist painters including Corot, Toulouse-Lautrec and Servin — a journey through living history and breathtaking natural beauty.
This descent is recommended for intermediate to advanced paddlers with some prior canoeing experience and good physical condition, given the 18km distance. A picnic stop is possible at the Guérard base midway through, with its open-air terrace and weekend grilled chicken guinguette. All equipment is provided and a shuttle service brings you back to the starting point after arrival.
