Beskrivning
Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo, Taka Makassar, Manta Point, Siaba, Kelor, and the Kalong sunset in one day (8 stops) . Air-conditioned luxury speedboat with toilet, professional guide, free documentation.
Most Komodo day trips end mid-afternoon, or they move you between two different boats to fit everything in. This one does neither. Eight stops, one boat, and you are still on the water when the light turns gold.
The boat is what makes the day work. It is air-conditioned, it has a real indoor toilet rather than a bucket behind a curtain, and it is fast enough to put you on Padar Island before the crowds and still reach Kalong Island in time for sunset. Nothing gets transferred between vessels, and you never sit sweating on an open deck between islands. Departures run with 10 to 15 travellers.
You leave Labuan Bajo before dawn. Padar comes first, while the staircase is quiet and the air is still cool - three bays curve away beneath the viewpoint, each with a shoreline of a different colour. Then Komodo Island, where a park ranger walks your group through dragon country on foot. The dragons are wild and unfenced, so nothing about the encounter is arranged in advance. Pink Beach follows, where crushed red coral mixed into white sand really does turn the waterline rose.
The middle of the day belongs to the water. Taka Makassar is a sandbar that rises out of open sea at low tide and vanishes again a few hours later. At Manta Point, reef mantas ride the current through the channel - some days two, some days a dozen. Off Siaba, green turtles graze in the shallows, and the coral there sits close enough to the surface that you do not need to dive down to see it. Lunch is cooked and served on board between stops. At Kelor the water is flat and clear, and there is a short climb for anyone who still has legs for it.
The day ends slowly. The engine goes quiet off Kalong Island and you wait. At dusk thousands of flying foxes lift out of the mangroves and stream across the sky above the boat for around twenty minutes. It is the reason this trip runs longer than most, and it is the part guests describe first when they get home.
A professional local guide from Flores stays with your group all day - in the water at every snorkelling stop, and on land beside the ranger on Komodo Island. Snorkelling gear and life jackets come in all sizes, and non-swimmers are welcome. Full photo and video documentation of the day, above and below the surface, is shared with your group afterwards at no extra charge. You will not spend the day holding a phone above the waves.
Pickup and drop-off cover hotels, villas, and homestays across the Labuan Bajo area, plus Komodo International Airport. You can leave luggage at our office in town on the day of the tour, which makes this work as a stopover between flights.
We are a local company registered in Labuan Bajo with a physical office you are welcome to walk into. If something goes wrong on the day, you are talking to the people who run the boat, not a call centre.
