Ubud: 5-Terrain Buggy Adventure with Cave, River & Lunch Tandem Buggy: 2 People Share 1 Buggy (min. 2 people)

You drive: rice fields, a forest trail, deep mud pits, a real river crossing, and a cave tunnel, all on our private track near Ubud. Solo or tandem, with a buffet lunch waiting at the end.
Your day starts at our basecamp near Ubud, where parking is free for both cars and motorbikes. Check in, meet your guide, and get fitted with a helmet and goggles. This is also where you settle the decision that shapes the whole ride: a single buggy, where you drive alone the entire way, or a tandem buggy, where two of you share one machine. In a tandem, one person drives and one rides as a passenger, and you are welcome to swap at the marked safe points along the track, with our team guiding the changeover.

No driving license is needed. The track is private, closed to public traffic, and maintained by us. Before anyone sets off there is a full safety briefing and a practice lap on flat ground, so you learn the throttle and the brakes before the terrain gets interesting. Your guide then leads the convoy from the front for the whole route.

The track runs through five completely different terrains.

You begin on the rice field section, hard-packed paths that thread between working rice terraces. It is the gentlest part of the ride and the best place to build confidence, with the kind of view people book an entire tour just to photograph.

The track then drops into the forest trail, shaded by bamboo and jungle canopy. The corners tighten, roots and ruts appear underneath you, and the driving starts to demand your attention.

Next come the mud pits. There is no clean way through, and that is the point. Your guide shows you the line, and everyone comes out the other side covered.

Then the river crossing: a real river, with water rising to the wheel arches and a current you can feel. You go one buggy at a time, guide first. This is usually the moment that ends up in everyone's video.

The finale is the cave tunnel. Headlights on, engine echoing off the rock walls, daylight shrinking behind you and reappearing ahead. It is short, loud, and the part almost no other track in Bali can offer.

Back at the base camp you get a hot shower, a towel, and a locker for your things so you can wash off the mud before you eat. Lunch is an Indonesian buffet served at the base camp: nasi goreng, grilled chicken, satay, sauteed vegetables, and tropical fruit, with vegetarian options always available and drinking water throughout. Tell us about any allergies or dietary needs at least 24 hours in advance, and we will arrange it.

The activity starts and ends at the same basecamp near Ubud. Driving time on the track is around 1.5 to 2 hours, and the full visit, including check-in, briefing, shower, and lunch, takes about 3 to 4 hours.
