Back at Casa Jacaranda, you'll prepare a complete four-course Mexican meal from scratch using seasonal ingredients. Throughout the class, our professional chefs—trained not only in culinary arts but also in the history of Mexican gastronomy—will teach traditional techniques while sharing the stories, traditions, and cultural significance behind every dish.
More than a cooking class, this is an immersive six-hour cultural experience where food becomes the gateway to understanding Mexico. The meeting point is at Quentin Café Miscelánea on Calle Bruselas, 11, Colonia Juárez. Please note that there are three Quentin Café locations. Be sure you head to the right one.
Quentin is a charming spot for specialty coffee and breakfast! We recommend arriving a bit earlier to fully enjoy their delicious drinks and food.
Just a heads-up: their restroom is for customers only, so please grab something to enjoy before using the facilities.
This won’t be a demanding walk, but we will be touring around the market and neighborhood, then standing during the class, so bring comfortable shoes. If you prefer to sit during the class, stools will be available, of course.
While we will be tasting ingredients and little tidbits during the market tour, we recommend you have breakfast before you come.
Tips are not mandatory, but the whole crew appreciates them very much. We suggest you consider 12-15% to be split between members of staff (the ones you see, as well as the ones you don't).
