Iquitos: Monkey Island Tour with Lunch

Discover the Amazon River on a guided tour. Visit a riverside community, interact with wildlife on Monkey Island, and enjoy a delicious lunch at Cabaña Amazon Lodge.
Begin your adventure with a hotel pickup and transfer to the Bellavista Nanay pier. Stop to observe the confluence of the Nanay and Amazon rivers, where the difference in water colors can be seen.

Then, head to your activity site, located almost 2 hours downstream by boat on the great and mighty Amazon River, considered one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, aboard comfortable and safe boats, “PAMACARI.”

Visit a riverside community on the Amazon, where you will visit the Wildlife Project, known as “Monkey Island,” to observe many varieties of wildlife such as sloths, monkeys, achunis, and macaws, all completely free, and where you can interact with them. It will be an interesting way to learn to value and respect the typical wildlife of our Amazon region.

Enjoy lunch at CABAÑA AMAZON LODGE (self-service): fish, palm heart salad, jungle fruits, natural fruit refreshments, etc. Vegetarian or special diets are available with prior notice.

During the return trip, observe pink and gray dolphins in their natural habitat, and enjoy an impressive sunset while navigating the mighty Amazon River.

Upon returning, visit Fundo Pedrito, a breeding farm for species such as caimans, paiche (Arapaima), piranha ponds, baby anacondas, and baby caimans. These are species you can feed and observe, as well as the largest floating freshwater leaf, VICTORIA REGIA.

Return to your hotel at the end of your tour.
