Maribel walked these swamps ages before this city existed. She had powers unlike anyone; she saw things no living soul was meant to know — and for that, they feared her.
They came for her in the night. The very people she had healed, the children she had guided, the men whose lives she saved. They bound her. They silenced her. They buried her alive beneath the ancient mangrove tree that had sheltered her for decades.
But Maribel never disappeared, she was waiting. When the Mangrove Inn was built many years later, she found a way to make it into our world and seek Revenge. She moved through the roots and into the walls, through the dark spaces between what the living can see and what they dare not look at.
