Day 1: Arrival in Zhangjiajie & Local Culture

Arrive in Zhangjiajie and check in to your downtown hotel. In the evening, explore a local food street and try the local specialty, "Sanxiaguo" (Three Ingredients Pot), for a perfect introduction to the city away from tourist traps.

Day 2: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park - The Summit Adventure

Travel to the park entrance and begin your adventure with a scenic cable car ride up to Tianzi Mountain. Marvel at the sea of peaks from the summit. Enjoy a stunning 2-hour hike along the Tianzi Mountain summit trail, offering different perspectives of the "Avatar Mountains" without the main crowd. Visit spots like "Immortal Brushing the Peak" and "Fairy Presenting Flowers."

Take the park shuttle to the Yuanjiajie area. See the iconic pillars like the "First Bridge Under Heaven" and the "Avatar Hallelujah Mountain." Check into your unique mountain guesthouse and enjoy the peaceful sunset over the peaks.

Day 3: Deep Hiking, Elevator Descent & Waterfall Town

Wake up early to catch a magnificent sunrise from near your guesthouse. Embark on a fantastic 3-hour hike through the heart of the park, descending from the summit through trails that offer intimate views of the forests and formations, making your way towards the Bailong Elevator. Experience the Bailong Elevator, the "World's Highest Outdoor Elevator," for a thrilling descent down the cliff face.

Travel to Furong and take a short, scenic high-speed train ride to Furongzhen Station. Be met by your guide and explore the magnificent Furong Town. Seeing the ancient Tujia stilted houses illuminated at night against the waterfall is a truly magical experience. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant overlooking the water.

Day 4: The Grand Canyon Glass Bridge & Tianmen Mountain's Challenge

Visit the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge. Test your nerves walking across the world's longest and highest glass-bottom bridge, suspended high above the canyon floor. Journey to Tianmen Mountain and take the world's longest cable car from the city center directly to the summit. Walk the thrilling Glass Skywalk built on the cliff's edge.

Descend via the cable car to the mid-station and then take shuttle buses along the breathtaking 99-Bend Road to the base of the Tianmen Cave (Heaven's Gate). You can climb the 999 steps to pass through the arch or use the escalators.

Day 5: The Classic Hike - Golden Whip Stream & Departure

Enter the park one last time for the best hike of the trip: the Golden Whip Stream. This 7.5km flat walk (approx. 2.5 hours) is a photographer's dream, winding between towering quartz-sandstone pillars, alongside a crystal-clear stream and lush forests. It's the perfect, peaceful conclusion to your adventure. Transfer to Zhangjiajie Airport/Train Station for your departure.
