Begin your journey to Reed Flute Cave, one of Guilin’s most famous natural landmarks. Spend about 45 minutes exploring enchanting stalactites, stalagmites, and pillars accompanied by stories from local guides.

Next, continue your scenic drive to Xianggong Mountain in Yangshuo County. Take a short 15–20 minute climb to a classic overlook of the Li River, with emerald karst peaks, winding waters, villages, and fields merging into a breathtaking panorama that is especially magical when morning mist lingers among the hills.

Following this visual feast, head toward the serene Yulong River, often called the “Little Li River,” for a tranquil bamboo rafting experience. Drift gently along crystal-clear water bordered by bamboo groves, old stone bridges, and peaceful farmlands for about an hour while listening to boatmen hum traditional folk tunes that echo softly across the valley.

As evening approaches, take your seat for the spectacular Impression Liu Sanjie show, an open-air performance created by renowned director Zhang Yimou and staged directly on the Li River with the surrounding mountains as a natural backdrop. Watch as hundreds of local performers in traditional Zhuang and Yao costumes present legendary songs, dances, and light displays that integrate human artistry with the grandeur of nature.
