Exploring Albania for a week isn’t a lot of time, and if you can spend more time you should. However, you can see a lot of Albania in a week, especially with a solid Albania week itinerary.
Tirana, the capital of Albania, is known for its colorful Ottoman-, Fascist- and Soviet-era architecture. Pastel buildings surround the city's focal point, Skanderbeg Square, which is named for its equestrian statue of a national hero. On the square's north end is the modernist National History Museum, covering prehistoric times through Communist rule and the anti-Communist uprisings of the 1990s.
We will meet at the designated hour in front of the Tirana International Airport . Our half day walking tour will start at the very heart of the city's Monumental Center, where we will observe the strong differences between the overbearing communist buildings of the Palace of Culture and the National History Museum, versus the Italian governmental buildings of the 1920s by the Italian architect Armando Brasini.
After the short visit we will accomodate at Deluxe Hotel
