Discover the beauty of Theth on a full-day tour from Tirana. Visit Theth Church, hike to the Blue Eye, explore the Lock-in Tower, and enjoy a traditional lunch. Optional stop at Grunas Waterfall.
Start your adventure with an early morning pick-up from your accommodation in Tirana. Enjoy a scenic drive through northern Albania, passing through Shkodër and the Albanian Alps. Along the way, we’ll make an optional stop in Shkodër for breakfast (~30 min) before continuing toward the remote village of Theth, known for its breathtaking landscapes and traditional stone houses.

Upon arrival, explore Theth Church, one of the most picturesque landmarks in the Albanian Alps. Then, visit the Lock-in Tower (Kulla e Ngujimit), a historical site that tells the fascinating story of Albania’s blood-feud traditions.

Next, embark on a hike to the Blue Eye (~1-1.5 hours one way, 4.5 km). Walk through lush forests, cross wooden bridges, and admire the stunning natural beauty. Upon reaching the Blue Eye, marvel at its crystal-clear turquoise waters, take photos, and, if you're feeling brave, go for a refreshing swim in the icy spring.

After the hike, enjoy a traditional lunch at a guesthouse, savoring local dishes made with fresh ingredients from the region.

For those who want to see more, take an optional hike to Grunas Waterfall (~30 min one way). This 30-meter-high waterfall is a hidden gem, offering a peaceful spot surrounded by towering cliffs and alpine scenery.

After a day of exploring, we begin our return journey to Tirana, with a quick coffee break in Shkodër before arriving back in the evening.
