From there, you will journey deep into the dramatic Azat River Gorge to discover the spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Site, Geghard Monastery. This medieval masterpiece is partly carved directly out of the solid rock mountain. Explore its dark, mysterious rock-cut chapels, feel the incredible echo of its sacred acoustic chambers, and hear the history of the Holy Spear once kept here.

Next, you will visit the charming village of Garni to explore the 12th-century Mashtots Hayrapet Church.
