Join a traditional Sámi reindeer herder for a peaceful and intimate journey across the frozen Lule River - just as the Sámi people have travelled for generations. Your experience begins inside the lavvu, where your hosts welcome you with an introduction and stories about the reindeer and life in Sápmi.

Afterwards, step out onto the vast, snowy river ice. Seated comfortably in a sled pulled by a reindeer, glide silently through the Arctic landscape while your Sámi host leads the way and shares insights into the deep connection between people, animals, and nature. The only sounds are the soft rhythm of hooves and the runners moving across the snow.

The tour takes place in the afternoon or early evening, when the winter light begins to fade and the first stars appear. On clear nights, you might be lucky enough to see the Northern Lights dancing across the sky - a breathtaking sight that adds a touch of magic to this unforgettable experience.

The excursion ends back in the lavvu, gathered around the open fire with a warm drink (coffee, tea or a warm blueberry juice). Here, your hosts share the final moments of the evening through Sámi stories and warmth before you return from the stillness of the Arctic night.
