7-Day Livingstone Classic Safari Tour: Khwai, Savuti & Chobe

Day 1-2: Explore the Khwai Concession in the Moremi area
The Khwai Concession is a region in the north-eastern Okavango Delta. It is renowned for offering excellent leopard sightings as well as wild dog. Elephant, buffalo, hippo, crocodile, giraffe, zebra and hyena are ever present. Join us non the exciting journey as we camp out in Khwai, where Elephants wander through the campsites and high concentrations of game drink from the river. Your game drives will be conducted in the early morning as the sun rises and in the late afternoon as the sun sets to catch a glimpse of the nocturnal predators as they get out of the shadows in preparation for their next meal. Camping will be in designated campsites Khwai in meru tents with a veranda, equipped with a bed and a folding mattress, en-suite bathrooms with hot shower. The bathroom has a flush-able portable toilet, shower and a sink. You will access your toilet which is safely secured to the tent.

Day 3-4: Enjoy Savuti
You will leave camp in the morning for Chobe National Park, with its diverse and striking landscapes, via Savuti on a journey of about 6 hours. The Savuti marsh in particular offers some of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa year round.
Truly at the interior of the park, Savuti boasts most of the Chobe species, except for water-loving antelope. It is best known for its predators, particularly lion, cheetah and hyena, of which there are large resident populations. The Savute Marsh is the deepest part of the Mababe Depression and it is the only part to have filled up with water in recent history. The Savuti channel has a fascinating history of flooding and drying up independently of good, rainy seasons and flood levels elsewhere, a mystery that has intrigued Geologists for many years. As you continue your search for wildlife, you will traverse the drier region of Savuti where bull elephants dot the plains. Your Guide will take you through a drive of a life time.

Day 5-6: Visit the chobe river
Your penultimate leg of the tour will be destined for the Chobe National Park via the Chobe River where your game drives will meander along the banks of the river. The Chobe River Floodplain is an amazing game viewing area where water attracts large herds of buffalo, elephant, zebra and other herbivors. Due to the proliferation of prey, predators are likely to be close at hand. Sun sets in this region are always spectacular and allow amazing photographic opportunities. Your trip will last for approximately 5 hours. The naming of this tour pays tribute to David Livingstone, who in November 1855, together with his 114 porters, left the Linyanti / Chobe for the Great Falls east of Sesheke ; the falls of Mosi-oa-Tunya "The smoke that thunders", the Victoria Falls. Your Guide will share with you these amazing stories and a lot more.
