Rio: Samba Classes in the Favela and Favela Tour

Learn samba with an award-winning teacher and explore a Rio favela on a guided tour led by locals. Culture, dance, and an authentic experience in Rio de Janeiro.
Discover the true essence of Rio de Janeiro in an experience that combines culture, history and lots of fun.

Our tour begins with a guided tour of Favela Tavares Bastos, one of the safest and most historic communities in the city, located in Rio de Janeiro's South Zone. During the hike, you'll be accompanied by a local guide who will share the history of the community, its social projects, its culture and the daily life of the residents.

Along the way, you'll visit key landmarks, enjoy incredible views of the city, and discover a side of Rio that most tourists never get to experience. More than just a tour, this is a responsible tourism experience that values the local community and fosters genuine connections.

To round off the experience in style, you'll take part in a lively samba class with an award-winning teacher. It doesn't matter if you've never danced before: the class is fun, relaxed and suitable for all levels. You'll learn the basic steps of samba, gain some insight into this important expression of Brazilian culture, and enjoy unforgettable moments in a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.

Whether you're traveling alone, as a couple, with friends, or with family, this experience is perfect for anyone who wants to discover Rio de Janeiro in an authentic way, interact with locals, and take home much more than just photos: you'll take home memories, new knowledge, and the contagious energy of samba.
