Discover Salvador through art and flavors, exploring the forts of Barra, the world of Jorge Amado, and the traditional Ceasinha in Rio Vermelho, and end the experience with a delicious home-cooked lunch.
The tour begins in the Barra region, one of the most traditional and emblematic neighborhoods of Salvador, with a visit to the Santa Maria Fort, located on Porto da Barra beach. Historically built as part of the defense system for the Bay of All Saints, the fort currently hosts a cultural space dedicated to the Franco-Brazilian photographer and ethnographer Pierre Verger. During the visit, participants will be able to learn more about his life, his relationship with Bahia, and view photographs that capture different aspects of Salvador's life and culture. Next, the tour continues to the São Diogo Fort, also located in Porto da Barra and also part of the city's historic defense complex. The site hosts exhibitions and cultural experiences related to the work of Argentine artist Carybé.

After visiting the forts, the tour continues towards Rio Vermelho, one of the most bohemian and culturally expressive neighborhoods in Salvador. In this neighborhood, there will be a visit to the Casa do Rio Vermelho Memorial, the former residence of writers Jorge Amado and Zélia Gattai. The space presents not only the couple's life story, but also stories of friends, characters, customs, objects, and elements of Bahian culture that were part of their lives and their work. The visit provides closer contact with Bahia's cultural identity and with the way Jorge Amado presented Salvador and its characters to the world.

The tour then continues to the Rio Vermelho Market, popularly known as Ceasinha. The market is an important meeting point for local cuisine and culture, bringing together regional products, typical ingredients, handicrafts and flavors characteristic of Bahia. There will be time to explore the market, see the local produce, and optionally shop and taste some regional fruits. To end the experience, participants will enjoy a tasty, typical, homemade lunch, with an opportunity to savor Bahian cuisine and learn a little more about the region's flavors and culinary traditions.
