The guide will meet you at the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, a UNESCO-listed architectural gem, to start your tour exploring Lingnan woodcarvings and live craftsmen.
Next, head to Shamian Island and Huangsha Pier to see European colonial history meet Pearl River panoramas. Walk past pastel-hued colonial buildings like the mint-green Former British Consulate and French Catholic church. End at Huangsha Pier for a photo session with Pearl River skyline views.
Continue to Yongqing Fang, where you can explore Bruce Lee’s ancestral home and see kung fu artifact displays. Explore different Lingnan intangible heritage shows or workshops, such as catch a 20-minute excerpt of a Cantonese opera at Liyuan Museum’s open-air theater on weekends, learn basic lion dance moves from local masters, or try your hand at the ancient movable-type printing
