Day 1: Arrival in Shanghai and Hotel Transfer

Arrive at Shanghai Airport and transfer to the downtown hotel by private vehicle. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to relax or explore the nearby streets and local lifestyle of Shanghai at your own pace.

Day 2: Shanghai Highlights: Gardens, Temples, and Historic Streets
Description:
Begin the day with a visit to Yu Garden and the adjacent City God Temple Bazaar to appreciate the Ming dynasty private garden and the old town. Next, head to the Jade Buddha Temple to see the famous Burmese jade Buddha statues. In the afternoon, learn about the traditional Chinese silk-making process at a local factory. Conclude the day with a walk along Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and The Bund Promenade to admire the historic colonial-era buildings and the modern skyscrapers of Lujiazui across the Huangpu River.

Day 3: Suzhou Day Trip: Classical Gardens and Grand Canal Cruise
Description:
Travel from Shanghai to Suzhou (approximately 1.5 to 2 hours). Explore the UNESCO-listed classical gardens, including the Humble Administrator’s Garden and the Lingering Garden. Visit Panmen Gate, a surviving historic city gate with both land and water entrances. Afterwards, take a 45-minute boat cruise along the Suzhou section of the Grand Canal to view traditional houses and ancient bridges. Return to Shanghai in the evening.

Day 4: Departure from Shanghai
Description:
Check out of the hotel after breakfast. Transfer to Shanghai Pudong Airport, Hongqiao Airport, or the railway station via private vehicle for the onward journey.
