Visit Tianmen Mountain with a pre-booked electronic ticket and practical entry instructions. Before your visit, you will receive your confirmed route, entry time, electronic ticket, and English instructions explaining how to enter and follow the required transport sequence.

Travel independently to the designated entrance of Tianmen Mountain. This activity does not include a meeting service, hotel pickup, or an on-site representative at the entrance.

Foreign visitors must present both their electronic ticket and original passport at the attraction entrance. Attraction staff will complete a facial-recognition registration. After registration, you can use facial recognition to pass through the attraction’s ticket gates during your visit.

Daytime Routes A, B, and C cover the main Tianmen Mountain sightseeing area. The routes mainly differ in the order and type of transportation used.

Due to the current upgrade, the upper section of the Tianmen Mountain city cableway between the middle station and summit station is closed. Visitors travel between Tianmen Cave and the summit using the escalator system inside the mountain.

Route A
Begin at the city cableway lower station. Take the operating section of the city cableway to the middle station, continue by scenic vehicle to Tianmen Cave, and use the in-mountain escalators to reach the summit. After sightseeing, descend by the Tianmen Cave Express Cableway and return to the city area by the designated attraction transport.

Route B
Begin at the designated entrance and follow the attraction’s transport arrangement to the mountain gate. Take the Tianmen Cave Express Cableway uphill, visit Tianmen Cave, and use the in-mountain escalators to reach the summit. Return through the middle station and take the operating section of the city cableway back to central Zhangjiajie.

Route C
Use the Tianmen Cave Express Cableway in both directions. This route includes Tianmen Cave and summit access but does not include the city cableway.
Seeing Tianmen Mountain in the evening

There is no separate night ticket included with this activity. If you would like to see the illuminated evening scenery, select an available entry time around 3:30 PM. You may stay inside the attraction until approximately 9:30 PM, subject to the attraction’s operating hours and same-day arrangements.

Evening lighting and projection effects depend on the attraction’s schedule, weather, maintenance, and operating conditions. Specific lighting effects cannot be guaranteed.

Routes, entry times, cableways, and transport arrangements may change due to weather, maintenance, ticket availability, or crowd-control measures. If the scenic spot is closed, then you will get a full refund.
