The Otavalo Market is known for its handcrafted products, made by local artisans and master craftsmen. You can find everything from intricate ceramics to musical instruments made from wood from the nearby cloud forest and various textiles and clothing.
Peguche Waterfall is a stunning 18-meter-high waterfall and it’s super-close to Otavalo and the famous markets. It's a real fun (but easy!) adventure to get there and requires some gentle walking along the river that the waterfall flows into.
Lake San Pablo is the largest natural lake in Ecuador. It has an area of 583 hectares and a maximum depth of 35.2 m; its water volume is estimated at 140,106 m3.
