05:30 am - 08:00 am Start your day with a morning boat ride on the Ganga river. Visit the river at sunrise, when its banks are alive with the multitude of worshipers who come to immerse themselves, honoring life’s milestones as they face the rising sun.
08:00 am - 10:00 am Return to your hotel for breakfast & some rest.
10:00 am - 01:00 pm Drive to Sarnath, where Lord Buddha preached his First Sermon here. Visit the main temple and see the fresco work, excavated ruins and archaeological museum. (The museum remains closed on Friday.)
01:00 pm - 02:30 pm Enjoy your lunch at a good local restaurant before continuing your tour.
03:00 pm - 05:00 pm Take a walking tour through the heart of the residential areas in the old city, where the Bengali community lives. Acclimatise with the culture and understand how people have lived here for thousands of years.
