Begin your day with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Penang. Head to Bujang Valley, a journey that takes about 1.5 hours.
Upon arrival, visit the archaeological museums and explore the remnants of the Chandi, ancient Hindu and Buddhist tomb temples built between the 5th and 10th centuries. See the Buddhist stupas and later Hindu shrines from the 11th to 14th centuries.
Next, visit the Sungai Batu archaeological site, a highly structured industrial hub for iron smelting and production. Discover dozens of clay-brick smelting workshops and earthen kilns, as well as river jetties and administrative port buildings, indicating a bustling trading hub.
