Enjoy a wonderful day trip to the Atlas Mountains and take an explorative day trip around the Imlil Valley from Marrakech. After being picked up from your accommodation around 9:00 AM, set off towards the Atlas Mountains for a fascinating journey of discovery.
Take in beautiful views on the 45-minute drive through olive tree groves, meadows, and authentic 16th and 17th century Berber villages until you reach the village of Tnine Ourika. A lively weekly market takes place every Monday in this village, attracting people from all over the surrounding area. See fruit orchards, vegetable terraces, and villages clinging to the side of hills. Marvel at the labor undertaken by the Berbers who hoisted materials to construct small houses up mountainsides, and who worked the terraces in a hostile environment.
From Tnine Ourika, you will continue your journey towards the high Atlas Mountains and Imlil Valley through authentic Berber villages and numerous cultivated terraces, heading towards the village of Tahnaout and Asni Valley. After an hour drive, reach Imlil Valley and meet your local guide for a walking tour through the amazing Berber villages of Imlil.
Enjoy its gorgeous waterfalls, then savor a delicious lunch in a local restaurant before setting off on your final walk back to the village center to meet your driver and head back to Marrakech through the Kik Plateau, soaking in the breathtaking views of the Atlas and Agafay Desert.
