Chase the Northern Light in the remote Tromsø region with our guide. Borrow our winter dress, camera tripod and snap memories of a lifetime, and/or stay warm around a bonfire with hot drinks & snacks.
Make the most of winter in Northern Norway on a minibus tour from Tromsø to see the Northern Lights. Watch in wonder as this natural theater puts on a spectacular light show in the night sky. Stay cozy and warm with a hot drink and some snacks, as you watch the fire crackle.

Head out of Tromsø and let your guide bring you to the best possible location to watch the Northern Lights. Cozy up in the minibus, as the ride may be up to 250km. Once at your optimal viewing spot – surrounded by magnificent fjords and mountains – put on your warm winter dress and get your camera ready.

Never twice the same, the Northern Lights have been an important part of Northern Norway's culture for centuries. Capture this enrapturing light show with the two full frame cameras available, that are ready to take portraits of you with the Northern Lights in the background.

Head back to your starting point, or to the hotels in the city center after you have ticked off one of your bucket list dreams.

Tromsø is about 350 kilometers north of the polar circle, be ready for true Arctic sub-zero climate.
Our aurora chase lasts 6-8 hours, so it is recommended to eat dinner beforehand.
Feel free to bring your food/snacks with you.
Please request a child seat for every child under 135cm tall.
Please bring with you -if possible- very warm clothing and shoes for all weather.
It is recommended to wear 2-3 layers, plus warm jacket and thermals, warm woollen socks and solid warm winter boots, and warm mittens/gloves.
In case of very bad weather (everywhere where we could possibly drive, including Finlad), you will be offered a free cancellation.
In case of extremely icy road and icy rain we follow safety rules and will offer cancellation of that tour.
The Northern Lights are natural phenomenon which is NOT guaranted (even though our succes rate is between 93-96% during the last 9 years) and it appears much more colorful and vivid/bright on camera screens/pictures than seen with the naked eye.
Meet your driver/guide at the Magic Ice Bar in Tromsø and look for your guide with a red sign that reads 'Flexitour.' Look for white minibus with the 'Flexitour' label. Magic Ice bar is located 50 meters from Prostneset harbour and only 80 meters from Clarion the edge hotel. Radisson Blu, Scandic Ishavshotel and Amalie hotels are about 3-5 minuts by walk.   • Freeze dried arctic expedition hot/warm meals for extra charges.
  • Warm meal of daily chioce :
  • Chicken tikka masala stew/risotto or Thai red/asian curry vegan stew/risotto : 150,-Nok per 1 portion.
  • Thick chicken soup, or thick traditional reindeer soup : 100,-Nok per one portion.
  • These Freeze dried meals are packed in special vacuum bags, we fill them with hot water, stir them, wait for about 10 minutes and then they are ready=)
  • Choice of warm meals may sometimes depens on capacity of our local suppliers, therefore please feel free to bring some snacks/food with you as well =)
  • Drop-off to airbnb which are not located in the city center.
  • If we are back in Tromso before 1.30.am., possible drop-off upon written and/or aproved request by email : tromso@flexitour.no ( price : 100,-Nok per kilometer).
  • Please note that vinter shoes are NOT included for our regular/shared tours, neither rent option. Only private (not shared) tours includes shoes.
