At an impressive altitude of 4250 meters, the grand and captivating Paron Lake enchants visitors with its mesmerizing beauty, nestled within the embrace of a rugged canyon.
ITINERARY: CALLEJON DE HUAYLAS - CARAZ - PARON LAGOON
Pick up from the hotel at approximately 8:00 am to begin our journey to the Callejón de Huaylas and then on to Carhuaz, where we will make a brief stop in the main square to explore and buy supplies if necessary. From there, we will head to Caraz, located 70 km north of Huaraz, gradually ascending a dirt road through charming villages until we reach Laguna Parón. Once there, we will have the opportunity to walk around the lagoon and contemplate the Andean flora, as well as the majestic pyramidal mountains of the Cordillera Blanca, such as Artesonraju, Piramide Garcilazo and Caraz. The vibrant turquoise waters make this a stunning destination.
There is also the option of following a zigzagging, almost vertical path and some stretches over rocks until you reach a viewpoint, from where you can appreciate the lagoon in all its magnitude. After enjoying the time and capturing many moments in photographs, we will return by the same route to Caraz and continue to Huaraz. The tour will end around 18:00 hours.
