Colca 1 Day From Arequipa Ending in Puno

If you have little time in Arequipa and want to visit one of the deepest canyons in the world, this itinerary is for you! And if your next destination is Lake Titicaca, it is possible to finish in Puno.
The pick up from your hotels is from 3:00 to 3:30 am, then we head towards the town of Chivay, after a 3 hour drive we will be making the first stop at the Mirador de los Volcanes, this will be the highest point of the tour (4910masl), here we can see the volcanoes Ampato, Sabancaya and Hualca Hualca Hualca. Then we return to the vehicle to continue the tour to the place of breakfast.
The visit will continue to the town of Maca, where we will stop to appreciate the Colonial Church of Santa Ana, recognized for its beautiful work of sculptures carved in sillar stone. Ready everyone, we will start the trip to the inter-Andean Colca Valley, where majestic landscapes await us, and of course the stops at the viewpoints of Wayra Punku, Antahuilque and the Cruz del Condor viewpoint.
The latter is located at the foot of the canyon, which will allow us to appreciate, if we are lucky, the flight of the Andean condor. Here we will have some free time to take pictures and videos. In the following stops we will be able to appreciate artisans offering their beautiful handmade souvenirs, including an additional stop to taste the famous Pisco Sour of Sancayo.
The last place to visit in our Full Day will be the Thermal Baths of Chacapi, located in the town of Yanque, this will be the opportunity to enjoy a revitalizing bath (its medicinal waters are at 38 ° C), so do not forget to bring your swimsuit and towel.
Then we return to the town of Chivay for lunch, and from there we board at the station of Chivay, the bus to go to the city of Puno.
On the way to Puno, we will enjoy again the views that the high Andean region offers us, we will make a short visit to the viewpoint of the "Cordillera Volcanica", if you want to enjoy a drink or snack in "Patahuasi" you can do it and finally we will make our last stop in "Lagunillas", sector of Puno so you can observe and photograph birds and South American camelids.
