The archaeological complex is composed of an impressive set of agricultural terraces and platforms, surrounded by enclosures or rooms, storehouses known as qollqas, and an altar sacred to the Sun god, the intihuatana. Particularly noteworthy are its water channels carved in stone and its ornamental and ceremonial water fountains, all protected by an imposing wall.
