Explore the natural beauty of the Ica desert as you travel to the stunning lost canyon of Ica, some of the driest earth in the world. Marvel at the natural forms of the desert and the ancient fossils as your guide explains the fascinating history of the area.
Begin this expedition early by being collected from your hotel in Ica before being driven to the district of Ocucaje, where the first stop will be at a restaurant to recharge and enjoy breakfast.
Continue towards the middle of the impressive Ocucaje desert with mountains loaded with saltpetre and mysterious natural forms. Arriving at the main viewpoint of the canyon of the lost, your guide will provide information about the formation of the canyon, and will help you take stunning pictures.
Trek towards the bottom of the canyon of the lost, where you will be able to examine the plentiful fossil remains along the way of the approximately 1.5-hour hike. Finally, the transport provided will return you to your lodging in Ica. The tour begins at 6:30 am and will conclude at 3:00 pm.
