Tambopata 2 day adventure

Viva una emocionante aventura de 2 días en la Reserva Nacional de Tambopata, descubriendo el lago Sandoval y su variada fauna, que incluye nutrias gigantes y caimanes.
DAY 1
Travelers will be met at the airport or bus station and transferred to the lodge, passing through the town of Puerto Maldonado and a small community, where they can observe parrots and macaws. You will be assigned private rooms overlooking the Tambopata River. After a brief rest, you will enjoy a 1-hour introductory walk through the rainforest, accompanied by an expert local guide. During the walk, you will admire ancient trees and animals such as toucans, parrots, monkeys, snakes and butterflies, experiencing the magic of the Amazon rainforest. After lunch, at approximately 3:30 pm, we will take a boat ride on the Tambopata River to enjoy the sunset and look for sloths and tropical birds. We will use flashlights to observe capybaras, white caimans and herons on the banks, with a good chance of spotting capybaras.

DAY 2
Sandoval Lake (Tambopata National Reserve)
At 5:00 am, we will start the day with a delicious breakfast before preparing our backpacks and heading to Sandoval Lake, one of the most beautiful destinations in the Tambopata National Reserve, known for its biodiversity. We will take a boat trip of approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes to the entrance of the lake, where, after passing the control of the park rangers, we will navigate in a rowboat to observe various species of birds and monkeys, such as the hoatzin cormorant, jacanas, herons, eagles, howler monkeys, squirrel monkeys, black capuchins and marmosets. We will also be able to see endangered giant river otters and caimans over 4 meters high. After this experience, we will return to the lodge to enjoy a typical Amazonian lunch. Around 2:00 pm, we will pack our bags and return to the city, where we will be dropped off at the airport or bus station.
