Tambopata Tour 3 Days

Experience the wonders of the Amazon on this thrilling three-day tour. Discover vibrant wildlife, explore Sandoval Lake, and immerse yourself in the culture of native families in the rainforest.
DAY 1
Pick up at the airport or bus station and transfer to the lodge, passing through the city of Puerto Maldonado and a community where you can observe parrots and macaws. Upon arrival, you will be assigned private rooms overlooking the Tambopata River.
After a short rest, you will take a 1-hour walk through the rainforest, guided by a local expert. During the walk, you will see ancient trees and animals such as toucans, parrots, monkeys, snakes and butterflies.
After lunch, at 3:30 p.m., you will navigate the Tambopata River to enjoy the sunset and look for sloths, tropical birds, capybaras and white caimans, using flashlights to observe the wildlife on the banks.
DAY 2 Sandoval Lake
At 5:00 a.m., we will enjoy breakfast and then get ready to visit Sandoval Lake. You will travel by boat for 1 hour and 20 minutes until you reach the entrance of the lake, and then we will walk 3 kilometers to reach it. At the lake, we will take a boat ride to observe various species of birds and monkeys, such as cormorants, eagles, howler monkeys and sloths. We will also be able to see giant otters and large caimans.
After lunch, we will have a night walk with flashlights in the forest, looking for animals such as night monkeys, frogs, tarantulas, owls, snakes and fireflies, as well as observing nocturnal plants, and finally we will have dinner.
DAY 3
Parrot Clay Lick and Sunrise View on the Tambopata River
At 5:00 a.m., we will rise early to embark on an excursion to a unique parrot show in the Amazon region. After a journey of approximately one hour, we will arrive at a clay wall where the parrots feed on minerals essential for their diet and detoxification. During this experience, we will be able to enjoy the sunrise and listen to the sounds of the jungle.
We will enjoy a continental breakfast and, at 10:30 a.m., we will say goodbye to Peru's biodiversity to return to the city and drop participants off at the airport or bus station.
