Embark on the excursion with a 9:00 am pick-up and travel to the port to board a boat, which will take you down the Madre de Dios River to your lodge. Upon arrival, prepare for a journey to the entrance of the Tambopata Reserve, where a 1-hour walk awaits to reach Lake Sandoval.
Hop into a rowing canoe to explore the picturesque lake, with hopes of spotting river otters, birds, and other wildlife. After the canoe ride, indulge in a delicious lunch. For those interested, there's an opportunity to swim in Lake Sandoval under the guidance of your guide.
Conclude the day by returning to the city of Puerto Maldonado, reflecting on the day's adventures and wildlife sightings.
