We will start to take you to Serra de Água admiring the unique scenery of the hilly mountains used for centuries, where our ancestors built the irrigation channels "levadas" and the fields terraced like steps. Then at the northen side, you have the oportunity to have a wine tour during 1 hour and taste of 5 types of table wine locally produced, at Quinta do Barbusano. We can add if you accept the visit to São Vicente caves walking thru the lava tubes, formed 890 thousand years ago by a volcanic eruption. At Porto Moniz if the weather alows, you can swim at the most famous volcanic pools, or in Seixal village where we have the hidden non touristic pools.
Take a look at Chão da Ribeira in a deep valley, where we have a large wrapping of Laurissilva forest and collection of Cow sheds were once used as warehouses to support agriculture. You will see some waterfalls on the coastline comming down thru the green mountains to the atlantic ocean.
